How it works in a retail environment

Pagers (E & B) have buttons that offer a choice of “Assist”, “Manager” or “Security”. If there is a problem at the checkout, the cashier presses the appropriate button on the pager and the assigned person is instantly alerted via a vibrating Wristwatch or LED Screen which display the Pager number requiring service. The designated person can respond immediately leaving the cashier free to continue processing sales.

Pagers could be placed on sales counters or designated locations around the store with signage stating, “Press for Assistance”. Only the assigned assistant to the request would receive the call and respond.

Instead of personnel idly hovering around sales counters they can be engaged in more meaningful tasks thus vastly increasing their productivity.

In fitting rooms Pagers could be secured to mirrors for customer to use when they require assistance. If for example a customer requires a different size or colour they simply press the “Service” button which displays the changing room number on a LED screen or wristwatch. Staff members are instantly alerted to the customer’s request and can respond immediately.

Managers can use a Portable Pager while walking through the store to direct personnel to specific areas. E.g. a store person is required for a delivery or to help a customer at a particular location.
